EA has slipped us the first set of screens for Need for Speed: Shift, the more serious racer announced as part of the recent series shakeup.
Need for Speed: Shift is EA's racing simulation, featuring realistic handling and physics for some of the world's top racing vehicles. These screenshots show off cars from both Audi and Porsche, giving me the impression that once again my 96 Nissan Sentra will not be making an appearance. Perhaps if they dropped an "F" from the title.
So, what do you think? The in-car is rather eerily reminiscent of Project Gotham Racing 3 for the Xbox 360. Definitely not a bad thing though, as that remains one of my favorite racers of the current generation. Check out the rest of the screens in our gallery below.
Need for Speed: Shift is due out this fall for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and PSP.
