Spain emerged as champion from EA Sports' simulation of the World Cup final in 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, with England losing on penalty kicks in a semifinal with Brazil and the Americans falling in the round of 16.

The game has the Spaniards besting Brazil 3-1 in the title match to claim the country's first World Cup. Spain met its biggest test in a quarterfinal 1-1 draw with defending champion Italy (pictured), advancing on penalty kicks 5-4.

In this hemisphere, the simulation picked the United States to lose to England 2-1 in their highly anticipated match to open Group C play. The Americans went on to victories over Slovenia and Algeria to advance to elimination play, where they drew with Germany 2-2 and were eliminated on penalty kicks.
