10. Hajime Hinata
Well, this is a surprise. I’m putting Hajime Hinata, the mystery Ultimate and protagonist of Danganronpa 2, right here in roughly the middle of the pack, because I think he could go either way. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony showed that being the playable character doesn’t mean shit, and you can still die in Monokuma’s killing game like anyone else. I’ve got a gut feeling that Hajime might die early in 2×2, and that we’ll swap to a different playable character for the remainder of the story. What other event could set a different story in motion than taking the most central character off the board early? I don’t see how the Slayhem story doesn’t just wind up retreading a lot of the same ground if Hajime is still breathing at the end.
