Craig Ferguson of The Late-Late Show on CBS last night got a reader's invitation to join a Warcraft guild, and responded somewhat circuitously. In the end, what he's really saying is that playing World of Warcraft is hip. It is?
Replying to: "Stephanie from New York City," Ferguson says, more or less, guys his age and ethnicity (47 years, white) don't do "hip" things. So there's the tradeoff for Blizzard. They lose the valuable 47-year-old white guy market, but gain hip cred.
I think his original answer: "I don't even know what you mean," is likely most accurate here.
