Each week throws off several new video game lists ranging from the humorous to the trivial. What's better? A list of those. Here's a roundup of the rundowns out there.
•The Top Ten Gangs in Video Game History [Joystick Division] JD plumbs the lineups of some of the most well known crime-genre games to compile this roster of thug life. As a film adaptation, maybe they're a little outside the scope, but I think The Warriors could take on all of these. And if not them, then the Gramercy Riffs.
•The 13 Most WTF Fighting Games of All Time [Ranker] Yes, Shaq Fu is on this list. Also included are dueling construction vehicles, Tom & Jerry, and something actually titled Battle Raper 2. Which meant there was a Battle Raper 1 at some point.
•11 Most Frustrating Video Games Ever [Arcade Game Examiner] Battletoads is an obvious selection, joining Defender, Ghosts N' Goblins and its evil bastard brother, Super Ghouls N' Ghosts.
•Seven of the Cheapest Boss Fights in Video Game History [Dorkly] By "cheap," the authors don't mean "easy." They mean "impossibly difficult." Fighters make up most of the entries, with the controller-throwing No. 1 a somewhat obvious choice.
•Top 10 Games Based on Non-Human Species [Gaming Bolt] I am racking my brain to understand how Mass Effect is a "game based on non-human species," any more than it's a game based on human species. You know what's actually a game based on a non-human species? Sly Cooper, Banjo-Kazooie, Ratchet & Clank, none of which are on this list. This sounds more like 10 Cool Games That Are Very Loosely Related.
