Brock Lesnar Gets UFC Undisputed Cover

THQ has announced that UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will grace the cover of UFC Undisputed 2010, probably the closest he will come anytime soon to a head-to-head competition Fedor Emelianenko, on the cover for EA Sports MMA.

Fans have pined for both cover fighters to duke it out in real life, but that is unlikely to happen soon, given the rivalries between both fighters and their promotional circuits (Emelianenko has the third of a three-fight contract with Strikeforce coming up in April.

UFC's Lesnar, although the reigning heavyweight titleist, has been inactive since October due to illness and is not expected to fight again until the summer. The fact he will not have fought in 10 months when UFC Undisputed 2010 comes out May 25 is a curious detail, but Lesnar is an A-list name within mixed martial arts and otherwise an obvious cover choice.

Ugh, fuck Lesnar. He's got a decent takedowns, but the only real advantage he has over his opponents is size. He just sits on top of them and hammerfists the back of their head 'til the ref calls a stoppage 'cuz they can't move his big ass off them. I would LOVE to see Fedor beat the everloving shit out of him.

THQ should give the cover to someone who actually deserves it like Anderson Silva or GSP (yes, I realize Canada got GSP on the cover for their version, but America got Forest Griffin. Fuck that). Hell, even non-title holders like Evans or Henderson would be a step up from Lesnar.
