Two artificially enthusiastic child models playing the Angry Birds tabletop game supplied the canvas upon which you were called to paint your demented masterpieces in Kotaku's 'Shop Contest. We have 20 finalists, plus winner Riddicrash inside!
Leading off, Rokeden (14) supplies the obligatory Asshole Dog entry. Gio-Dude (5) conjures the ghost of Christmases past. clumsyninja (2) will travel to the Dagobah system to learn from Yoda, the Jedi master who instructed me.
Josh Lamm (7) keeps it a little too real. llama.fragments (8) gets a nod because of the little boy's gangsta-style firing pose. stopsignpeep's (16) objection is sustained. Wizzle (19) doesn't want a large Farva, he wants a liter o' cola.
cowboyhugbees (3) and goufunaki22 (6) integrated the subject within the fighting genre. Pedro Silva (11) delivered a fan favorite. Rictor (12) and Nostrapadamous (10) provide variants on the role-reversal theme.
This week's winner is Riddicrash (13). Max Payno (9) gave him a strong, strong run for top honors, but as I starred in his punchline I had to recuse myself from voting for it as overall winner. And I was the only voter. As for Riddicrash, nothing could possibly beat two little kids laughing at high-school Reggie Fils-Aime and his giant afro. I forwarded this to our Nintendo liaison. Any comment Nintendo of America makes will be updated here.
Outstanding job, everyone. We'll have another challenge tomorrow.
