Backbreaker's iPhone version - a port of the popular "Tackle Alley" minigame from the console title - flips the script in a sequel that tasks players with stopping the computer runner. New moves and "super showboating" will also be featured.
NaturalMotion Games announced Backbreaker 2: Vengeance (and also Jenga) today. Vengeance mode puts you on defense; Tackle Alley is still a part of the game, and players can avail themselves of new jumping and trucking moves, plus "super showboat." "You can really rub your opponents' noses in it with new multi-touch super showboat," says a statement. "You'll bag more points, but your player will move even slower."
Tackle Alley gets more waves, plus new on-field obstacles. The game will also get a graphics update to take advantage of the iPhone 4's Retina display. A specific release date was not given, but the statement said both it and Jenga will be out this holiday season.
