Custom Model Kits Bring Classic Games To Life

16 bit Models was an exhibition held in Akihabara over the weekend. It brought model makers together to pay homage to some of the great games from the 16-bit era (and beyond), and included everything from Street Fighter II to Crazy Taxi to Outrun.

A ton of great photos were taken of the event’s highlights and posted to Twitter, the star being an incredible recreation of Silpheed’s intro.

Some of these are 100% original builds, others take existing kits and heavily modify them. Here are some of the other highlights:
