I didn’t play enough to be able to answer that. I did notice that there are options in the menu involving things like cash and ammo. I’m not sure what those options do, nor if there is one for hunger. But I guess it’s possible that some of these survival qualities could be tweaked. That’s speculation. I imagine they Read more

The former. There was no active-reload timing in what I saw. Read more

There is. I talked about it in the article. Weapon degradation was in Far Cry 2, not 3, or did 3 have it too? Read more

They said they were running it on a PS4 Pro. I was playing with a PS4 controller. The game looked really good, though with some allowances for it being open world. There might be some more linear games that look as good or better, but nothing open world that I’ve seen. Read more

By traveling, do you mean fast-traveling? You can unlock that, but I didn’t have a chance to. Read more

I felt like I was in the west, but they made a point of saying that the overall map has geography that represents all parts of the U.S. (at least the contiguous 48). Compared to the last one, I think we’re supposed to feel like we’re exploring America in this one. That said, they say the map consists of five states Read more

I didn’t see the first-person mode for very long, but they said they did custom animations for it, as they did GTA V. Of course, with GTA V it was tacked on in the sense that the game didn’t have it when it launched on PS3 and Xbox 360. Here it has it from day one. I only had it active during a stretch of open-world Read more

The gunplay felt swift, although intentionally slowed down with that need to press the shooting button between shots to cock the gun, which is something I liked. I don’t love the tap-X-to-run/square-to-jump thing but don’t hate it either. It felt fine, but it certainly doesn’t feel like the movement in a Platinum Read more

Ha. Yeah. I made a similar comment about that blizzard section being RDR2's North Yankton. The snowy scenes I saw looked great and I guess you could consider it a way to compare what Rockstar can do with snow in a 2013 game and in a 2018 game. The 2018 version is a lot more impressive and beautiful. Read more

Sure sounded like him. And he had a lot to say in the parts I watched or played. I don’t know if he’s an active member of the game throughout the game or if they featured him a lot in the sections shown to press because we’d get a kick out of seeing him in the game. Either way, it was great to hear that voice again. Read more

I wasn’t able to squeeze every detail I learned into this preview. I’ll just a few more down here, but, also... ask me anything about RDR2 in a reply to this comment and I’ll do my best to answer them. Read more

The rest of the update you quote explains why we referred to it as key distinction in the update. It’s not because you or I should care at this point. It’s because it was the justification that people who harassed her used, saying, oh she’s a bad person because she dated so-and-so. That’s a shitty justification, of Read more

You can see it in the background. Maybe the clip is too dark for you to see? It is a pretty dark game. You should be seeing the same presence or absence of wall marking as is in the GIF a little higher in the article. Read more

I finished the story, got enough side stuff to clock in at 90.00% completion and have not seen Sam. Unless she has turned herself into an eel or jaguar. Read more
