Atomega is a multiplayer shooter by Ubisoft Reflections, the studio that made Grow Home and Grow Up. It comes out for PC September 19.
The weekend is for watching all of Bojack Horseman with your friend and probably not crying. Or only crying a little. Or crying a lot. And then playing video games. I am super close to finishing Dishonored 2, and it’s really grown on me. I’m excited to finish it up in time for Death of…

The weekend is for going to the farmer’s market near your house for the first time, because that seems like a very modern long weekend thing to do. Also, video games. I’m determined to finish Dishonored 2 before Death of the Outsider comes out. I started it again last weekend but didn’t get too far…

Infamous: Second Son has always looked pretty cool but I never got around to it, so I’m really excited it’s in this month’s PS Plus lineup. There’s also some extras in this month’s lineup, including a free PSVR game. As usual, these games are only free if you have an active PlayStation Plus account. Update…
Weekends are for making up for last week’s lousy meal prep by toning down your learning to cook ambitions a little. Also, video games. I’ve had a lot of conversations about games I haven’t finished this week. There are so many excellent games I’ve yet to see the end of (including, I cannot believe I’m…

The weekend is for deciding to buy a blender, but why are there so many different blenders? Also, video games. I’m going to keep working through Agents of Mayhem, which is a lot of fun. I also bought Sonic Mania last night, which will be the first Sonic game I’ve played since the original. So…
When I was a kid, I begged my parents for a Game Gear. When I eventually wore them down, they bought me the handheld, along with six games—but I only had the courage to play five of them. I made my way through Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Lemmings, Winter Olympics: Lillehammer 94 (my…
The weekend is for cleaning the house. No, really. Really this time. Also, video games. I’ve got some games to check out for next week, but I’ll also be playing more The Long Dark, because there are a lot of places in the new map where I haven’t died yet. I’m also pretty keen on…
A journey through the world of the freezing woods of the survival game The Long Dark has long been wonderful. The sky constantly changes; the snow is breathtaking. The sound design is rich and detailed, with your pack making different sounds depending on what you’re carrying. The quiet can be overwhelming, until it’s punctuated by…

The weekend is for a second try at meal prep, since your first try last week wasn’t so hot. Also, video games. I finished the first episode of The Long Dark’s story mode last night, so this weekend I’m on to the second episode and to check out more of the changes to the sandbox…
