Yea you can download the app and use it without paying for another subscription. Theoretically then if Japan’s Switch Online service gets different games added in later months, you’ll be able to access them through the Famicom app.  Read more

Once you create the backup save file in the cloud, it’ll stay updated automatically. It’s just the initial creation that is manual, although simply opening a game up will also prompt the backup process to get underway.

This is the screen where you can create the back up save without opening up the game. It’s not a huge pain, but it can get a little tedious if you have dozens of games with save data.

Nothing announced yet, but I’m guessing with how popular the limited edition Vita physical copies were, Nicalis or someone will do a special run of carts for it. Read more
