Hm, I disagree. Quake is one of the most important games to me, personally, but its genre is long dead and unlike Doom it’s not super fun in single-player / quite as easy to mod for. And its multiplayer is the very definition of hardcore / hard to approach, even just in getting set up. Read more

I did! I didn’t love the direction of the English dub, but I’ll tell you why I used it: because the game doesn’t give subtitles to any of the incidental dialogue, such as when you pass by NPCs. Read more

I think I was fine through the first round of class updates. I liked having the choice between Backburner and regular flamethrower for my beloved Pyro. My Scout had a few fun gun choices too. Part of the promise is that it will just perform and feel better in various ways. Over time the bloat made TF2 run sluggishly on my last PC, where previously it ran fine. It’d be nice to have a version that runs nicely for more people again, theoretically even on potatoes. Read more
