Level-5, the Fukuoka-based developer behind Professor Layton and White Knight Chronicles, is loving the Japanese game industry. Why? Because it has made the company lots of money and funded some swanky corporate digs.
The studio has posted pictures that mostly depict the company's Fukuoka headquarters. There are lots of meeting rooms, a rec room, libraries and a swish executive suit for company president and lead designer Akihiro Hino.
From the looks of it, there are lots of meeting at Level-5 — lots of fancy meetings.
The company was founded in 1998 and employs over 200 staffers. Level-5 has developed titles that include the previously mentioned Professor Layton and White Knights Chronicles series as well as Dragon Quest VIII and Dragon Quest IX.
The studio is currently working on a Ni no Kuni, a project that is being developed in collaboration with anime house Studio Ghibli.
Level-5 has also created successful anime that include a TV version of soccer role-playing game Inazuma Eleven. It also owns a soccer stadium in Fukuoka.
