Including a game called Pizza Vs. Skeletons in this week's lineup of featured Gaming Apps of the Day seemed like a good idea, until Friday afternoon rolled around. Now I'm so hungry I could eat a deep-fried frog.
Hold the unhealthy flies; I'm watching my vitality.
Seriously though, I'm going to have to have a talk with Tina about what is and isn't acceptable in terms of daily gaming apps. An adorable physics platformer like They Need to be Fed is fine. Circadia's simple stylish rhythm gameplay? Fits like a glove. An app featuring a large, piping-hot pie with all the fixings? Completely not fair.
So what if it has eyes? I'll eat those eyes. I'll chew on them while the pizza screams. I'd record video and put it up on YouTube. I'd have t-shirts made. I'd...I'd...
I'd better order some food.
If you have a suggestion for an app for the iPhone, iPad, Android or Windows Phone 7 that you'd like to see highlighted, let us know.

Blacktorch Games' simple little fly swatter, Don't Fry the Frog, serves as a simple reminder of how much fun you can have with two fingers at once. More »
Take Out Skeletons with Take-Out Pizza in this Ridiculous iPhone Platformer
More often than not, it seems that mobile game developers are encouraging you to not take their games too seriously. The art is fun, and the game mechanics are typically quirky. Pizza Vs. Skeletons is maybe the quirkiest of them all. More »
Circadia's Simple, Ingenious Puzzles Breaks Down Music Games to Their Best Parts
Circadia doesn't look like much when you start it up. Even after the tutorial, all you're getting is a black screen with a white and colored dots on it. More »
They Need To Be Fed to the Monster at the End
They Need to be Fed is, aside from being a mouthful to remember and say, a gravity-based puzzle platformer. Only in this case, gravity doesn't necessarily apply in the way you feel that it should. Rather, each little center of mass - the blocks from which the player's avatar needs to leap - seems to have its own gravitational pull, its own sense of "down." More »
