At least part of the April 2026 lineup of new PS Plus games appears to have leaked, and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be the big blockbuster joining Sony’s subscription service this month. The hit open-world RPG had previously been removed back in 2024 ahead of the release of the PS5 remastered version.
The leak comes from billbil-kun at Dealabs Magazine. According to them, the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games starting April 21 includes Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, and Football Manager 26 Console. The leaker suggests the rest of this month’s batch of PS Plus games could be announced during a rumored PlayStation State of Play possibly scheduled for later this week.
Horizon Zero Dawn had been part of the subscription service’s back catalog for years until Sony quietly removed it in 2024. That same year, the PS5 remastered version was released and the price of the original PS4 version was increased. Since then, the cheapest way to access both versions of the game was to buy a physical copy of the game used and pay a $10 upgrade fee.Â
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered makes a number of visual overhauls to the sci-fi epic that border on artistic reinterpretations. But it also comes with more NPCs and other improvements that make the open world feel more detailed and lived-in. The sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, remains off of PS Plus for now.
Update 4/15/2026 3:36 p.m. ET: The PlayStation Blog just made the leak official and outlined the rest of the games joining PS Plus in April 2026:
- Warriors: Abyss | PS5, PS4
- Squirrel with a Gun | PS5
- The Casting of Frank Stone | PS5
- Monster Train | PS5
- Wild Arms 4 | PS5, PS4 (Premium only)
Wild Arms 4 hit PS2 back in 2006 and traded the franchise’s established Western steampunk setting for something more science fantasy. It also has a weird hex grid battle system. I’m lowkey stoked to see it back on modern platforms even if it marks the beginning of the JRPG series’ overall decline.
