Kotaku Magu: Famitsu Doesn’t Review Blue Dragon

The monthly Famitsu 360 weighs in on pretty much every upcoming Xbox 360 release, save for Blue Dragon. The scoring at Famitsu is done by four editors who rate games on a 1-10 scale. Here's what the Japanese mag says:

  • Dead or Alive Xtreme 2: 9/9/8/9 (35/40)
  • Zegapain NOT: 6/7/6/7 (26/40)
  • World Soccer Winning Eleven X: 8/9/8/8 (33/40)
  • Oneechanbara vorteX: 7/7/6/9 (29/40)
  • Earth Defence Force 3: 8/8/7/9 (32/40)
  • Lost Planet: 9/9/8/8 (34/40)
  • A-Train HX: 6/7/7/7 (27/40)
  • Sonic the Hedgehog: 7/8/8/7 (30/40)
  • Prey: 7/6/8/7 (28/40)

Wow, Famitsu likes DoA X2, a game its website has been promoting for the past month, better than Lost Planet? There must be an explanation for this.

Yup, there is.

The Japanese text above says: "There's no Blue Dragon review! Everything okay? Is it Famitsu 360's cross review?" Guess we'll have to wait for the weekly version of Famitsu for that. Stay tuned.

Eds note: McWhertor just asked me what the hell a "magu" is. Got me, but it sounds like "magazine." And yes, I do realize "magu" is not a Japanese word regarding magazines.
