The man’s name is Donovan Murdock and he really likes his favorite coin. So much that he’ll kick the ass of everyone in the universe to get it back. And that beatdown is a wonderful thing to see.
Made by Exit 73 Studios, this animated clip pays homage to the side-scrolling beat-em-ups of yore, throwing in the kind of moves and fluidity we couldn’t even dream of back in the day. Aside from the obvious references to Double Dragon, I’m also seeing a sly nod to Portal, too. What references can you spot in this three-minute display of awesomeness?
