You know what’s still good? Dragon’s Dogma. On this week’s episode of Splitscreen, Kotaku video producer Paul Tamayo came on as a guest and tried to convince Kirk and I to finally check out this gem of a game. Get the MP3 here.
i loved this game. it made bows fun, which i usually hate, the dagger/martial arts animations are beautiful, and it nails that kind of interesting general fantasy fable vibe while still making a strong unique world building. and i LOVED the grappling/climbing mechanic. nothing like grabbing an annoying goblin and hurling him into the water. And high level magic really does a good job of conveying the mass destruction aspect of it.
