Years Since the Nintendo 64’s American Release

Illustration for article titled Years Since the Nintendo 64’s American Release

As a child of the 90s, the Nintendo 64 was the console I remember. It had some of my all-time favorites, ranging from great-but-weird titles like Blast Corps and Pokemon Snap, to works of absolute genius like Paper Mario and Majora's Mask.

But now it's 18 years old today. If my console was a person, it'd be able to vote now. That's just… weird. Especially when I think of the fact that my laptop's barely been around for four years and it's on its last legs.

What about you? What were your favorite games on the aging console? Do you feel old now? Well, I sure as hell do.

Thank you for making me feel old!! I remember getting the N64 for my birthday along with Star Wars Shadow of the Empire, then discovering Mario in 3D with a friend. Good times.
