Years Later, Fans Are Still Trying To Fix Aliens: Colonial Marines

To recap: Colonial Marines was shit. But where Gearbox and friends failed, a very dedicated fan is still plugging away trying to make things right.

TemplarGFX is working on something called ACM Overhaul, which seeks to, well, overhaul much of the game’s content and either replace it or make it work better.

That means new alien AI, new human AI, new animations, new shaders, decals, lighting, the works.

The idea is that a very pedestrian and broken FPS can, with the right amount of tuning, be turned into a dark, frantic experience more in keeping with the Aliens universe.
