Yakuza Gets A Plastic Model Car

And it's covered in stickers. Because Japanese gangsters just love stickers?

In Japan, cars covered in anime and video game stickers are called "itasha" (literally "painmobile"). Itasha, like this Ferrari, are favored by hardcore otaku.

Sega's crime franchise Yakuza (known as Ryu Ga Gotoku in Japan) takes players into the underworld of Japanese organized crime. And while the car choice (a Toyota Celsior) seems spot on, the sheer abundance of stickers seems to be a little much — even for the flashiest gangster.

This isn't about realism, though. This is about Ryu Ga Gotoku! And this Yakuza-branded plastic model is priced at ¥3,990 (US$44). Out this month.
