The PlayStation 3 had a big week in Japan, thanks to the success of Sega’s Yakuza 4, the country’s bestselling game for the country’s bestselling console.

It was just a little over a year ago that the previous entry, Yakuza 3, pushed the PS3 to the top of the Media Create hardware chart. It was a simpler time, when the PSP was just a single platform and the Nintendo DS had a mere two variations represented on the pie. The Xbox 360 was selling well enough to inspire hope and the Wii was bottoming out.
