Yakuza 6, originally a PS4 exclusive, is heading to PC and Xbox Game Pass in March 2021 internationally. So is the Yakuza Remastered Collection, which includes former PlayStation exclusives, Yakuza 3, 4, and 5. Sega says it currently has no plans to make similar announcements for Japan.

Update - 1/7/20 4:27AM: A spokesperson for the Yakuza series tells Kotaku, “The Yakuza Remastered Collection is coming out on January 28, 2021, and moreover, it’s been confirmed that Yakuza6: The Song of Life is also launching on March 25, 2021! Both can be purchased from Japan, and it has the Japanese voice-over as the original version.” More details here.

Originally from Texas, Ashcraft has called Osaka home since 2001. He has authored six books, including most recently, The Japanese Sake Bible.

I don’t understand the reason for releasing a game internationally on all consoles but leaving it exclusive in one region. The hard part has already been done (translation) so you might as well release it on everything to get most of your investment back. Especially since today you don’t have to release it on physical discs if you don’t want to.
