I've never played any of the Yakuza games, so yesterday when it was announced that Yakuza 3 was getting a western release, I was mildly intrigued. I found a few youtube videos (one of the Japanese demo) and was very underwhelmed by the fighting mechanics - maybe it's because I've been playing Batman recently (which imho has excellent fighting mechanics, even though it's so simple) or maybe it was because in the demo, the main guy didn't have any weapons, or maybe the fighting is just boring ;-). Does it get any better later on in the game?
