Hot off its Project Natal demonstration, Microsoft is saying the Xbox 360 will have a ten year life cycle.
"We firmly believe that the Xbox 360 has a life cycle through 2015 (10 years after the launch)," explained Microsoft exec Shane Kim.
Hrm. We could have sworn we heard that before.
OH RIGHT. Sony's been saying that for eons about the PS3.
You gotta give Microsoft credit. Natal is a ballsy, innovative concept on its part. "Project Natal is a great innovation," Kim added. "It will work with every Xbox 360 sold. It's not about pushing more pixels on the screen. It's about how to break down barriers that stop people from playing games."
Hrm. We could have sworn we heard that before.
OH RIGHT. Nintendo's been saying that for eons about the Wii. This is exactly what the world's most expensive echo chamber sounds like. Now you know.
We're just glad we don't have to keep buying new hardware. We're not made of money, but hamburgers and apple juice.
