Last night was the Academy Awards. Actors, directors, writers and producers were honored for their work in films — as was a World of Warcraft player.
By day, Steve Preeg is a big time Hollywood visual effects artist, working on films like Lord of the Rings and I, Robot. By night, Steve Preeg is also a visual effects artist. (We've heard those guys pull long days!) But somewhere sandwiched in-between, Preeg is a guild leader in MMO World of Warcraft. Preeg plays a Combat Rogue with 450 Enchanting and Inscription.
His latest loot? An Oscar for his team's work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Wonder what that's worth in WoW gold...
