Yesterday, Wizards of the Coast released their latest Dungeons & Dragons adventure for 5th edition: Storm King’s Thunder. In it, players seek out the storm giant King Hekaton, who until recently was keeping the hill giants in check. Now, they run wild, causing mayhem across the land:

The humans, dwarves, elves, and other small folk of the Sword Coast will be crushed underfoot from the onslaught of these giant foes. The only chance at survival is for the small folk to work together to investigate this invasion and harness the power of rune magic, the giants’ weapon against their ancient enemy the dragons. The only way the people of Faerun can restore order is to use the giants’ own power against them.

Storm King’s Thunder is D&D 5e’s 5th full campaign. It’s available at bookstores and on Fantasy Grounds, Roll20 and Steam.

Man 50 dollars? I used to spend that much on roleplaying books and I understand how high quality they are and the art is fantastic but that really pulls me away.

Always nice that there’s a lot of casual and cheaper alternatives but which the Dungeon and Dragons franchise didn’t have such a high admission price
