What Are You Playing This Weekend?

It’s the weekend! Something something Valentine’s Day something video games something something.

What are you gonna be playing this weekend? I’ll go first, as usual: I wrapped a bunch of hours with Dying Light: The Following last weekend (I really liked it) and I might keep playing to check out the bounties, do some more co-op with Nathan, and see if I can get into the post-level-cap stuff. I’m definitely going to be playing more XCOM 2, which has enthralled me completely. I got past “the hump” in that game, where you get a solid A-team and your troops stop panicking on every god damn mission and you finally start kicking some ass. It’s now so fun I don’t know what to do with myself. What a game.

I’ll also be playing more The Witness, as I suspect I’ll be doing off and on for the next several months at least. I’m messing around with the Hitman beta, which so far is rough but cool. (More considered impressions on Kotaku at some point in the near future.) Doubtless some more Batman: Arkham Knight, too, since I’m wrapping up my replay and checking out more of the collected DLC.

Those games should be more than enough to keep me occupied until I’ve got the new Fire Emblem and the Far Cry games, both of which are out worryingly soon.

How about you? What are you playing this weekend? Sound off.

I am eagerly anticipating Fire Emblem, Street Fighter V, and Twilight Princess HD. I’m also as salty as ever watching MFPallytime/Squadron and Crendor/TB/Jesse Cox play Onlywatch— I mean Overwatch.

In the meantime, I’m taking my time playing through Dragon’s Dogma in glorious 1080p 60FPS + Steam Controller, and I’m still enjoying the crap out of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Digimon Cyber Sleuth.

I also finally picked up the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy on my N3DSXL, and I’m loving the crap out of it. It’s a great on-the-go series for me. It’s super funny and engaging as heck. Even my dad loves it! So much so that he bought it on his iPad, since that’s about the only kind of gaming he can ever handle playing himself, haha.
