Week In Games: Go Mad, Fight Evil

It's the battle of the biceps this week, as Madworld's Jack takes on Resident Evil 5's Chris Redfield for ultimate python dominance. There's far less violent, more milquetoast-friendly fare throughout the week, however.

Platinum Games, Shinji Mikami, et al, really, really, really have some serious balls.

Far from just, you know, elegantly illustrating that he is totally over his status as father of the Resident Evil franchise — the only game franchise in history to be turned into three mega-hit Hollywood films! — here he is releasing his brand-new development studio's first game ever right up alongside the latest surefire million-seller in the Resident Evil franchise.

Wow! I didn't realize until looking at this just how ballsy that is.

Also, Capcom is kinda ballsy themselves, releasing SFIV and Resident Evil 5 right alongside one another.

Maybe they should have just waited until November to release SFIV, RE5, Lost Planet 2, Dead Rising 2, and maybe Megaman Legends 3 on the same day (that's a joke).

(Megaman Legends 3 would be sweet as heyyyyyl, though)
