Week in Games: Bustin' Makes Me Feel Good

For my money, the years 1984 to 1986 might have been the greatest consecutive three -year stretch ever for summer blockbusters.

In 1986, we got Top Gun, Aliens and Ferris Bueller's Day Off; 1985 was Rambo: First Blood Part II, The Goonies and Back to the Future; and 1984 saw The Karate Kid, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Gremlins and Ghostbusters. Since then, every summer Hollywood lineup, for me, seems to strive for the futile reclamation of those days.

So pardon me for feeling a bit nostalgic, but the long, torturous journey of Ghostbusters: The Video Game at last comes to an end on Tuesday. It is indisputably this week's highlight, releasing on no fewer than six platforms. Everything else has the misfortune of dropping right at the time I'm feeling like a sixth grader all over again.
