US Military Testing Crazy Video Game-Like Weapons

Hey, remember those real guns we showed you last year that looked like something out of a video game? Well, the US Army is currently taking a look at the tech.

Trackingpoint, the company behind the weapons, tells Motherboard that the Army currently has some of their scopes "under evaluation for assessment".

It's not like they've signed a contract or anything, but still. If (IF!) the gear works as expected, it'd be hard imagining the military saying no to technology that lets infantry "tag" enemies through their scopes, then use a form of auto-aim assist to hit them regardless of the weather conditions.
