The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, as Totilo will explain a bit later today in his full impressions of the game's initial dungeon, is the sort of Zelda that fans have been waiting for, for two decades.
Glimpsed here in a clutch of new screenshots, readers get a chance to examine the Faron Woods that Link first discovers after leaving the cloud city of Skyloft, the area from which the game begins. (And which Kirk wrote about for us last week.)
Passing through the forest, a challenge in its own right, lands Link at the game's first dungeon, the Skyview Temple. This opening dungeon, which Totilo details in more depth in his write up, has Link on the hunt for a map, a key, and tussle with a boss. This is also the level where gamers will be able to first play around with that remote-controlled beetle we've seen in demos before.
Now enjoy your visual journey through Nintendo's upcoming Wii title.
