A Look At Just Cause 2’s Island of Panau
Really, I don’t care which island this is located on, all I care about is that it features water, jungles and lots of tall structures to, hopefully, jump off of. These latest screens of Eidos Interactive’s free-roaming adventure game are keeping me interested. Head over to the official site if you want to check out…

Scenes From The Edge Of Twilight
The folks at Fuzzyeyes have a keen eye for gorgeous scenery, as displayed in this latest set of screenshots for the upcoming hack and slash platformer Edge of Twilight. Planescape, Planescape, Planescape. Just had to get that out of my system, as I do every time new assets from Edge of Twilight are released. It’s…

Madden Cover Athlete Hurts Himself
Madden NFL 10 co-cover athlete Troy Polamalu did just fine in the season opener between the Titans and the Steelers last night, until an injury put him out of commission for 3 to 6 weeks. This is just another one of those silly little coincidences that has nothing at all to do with supernatural powers…

DJ Hero In-House Impressions
My experience with DJ Hero has always come in short little bursts, never affording me enough time to really play the game. Until now. Yesterday a demo build of DJ Hero landed on my doorstep. The build features a short playable tutorial hosted by DJ Grandmaster Flash, three DJ-only mixes and a DJ-guitar mix. The…

PSP Minis Might Hit PS3, UMD
Sony’s PSP Minis range was originally believed to be a way the PSPgo could compete with the iPhone’s successful App Store, but comments today from Sony Europe suggest they could go a little further than just the new PSP. Lucasarts Unveils Lucidity, An Original Platformer
Perhaps aware of criticism that Lucasarts only survives by milking Star Wars and Indiana Jones dry, the company has tonight unveiled on GTTV a brand new puzzler/platformer called Lucidity. Starring a young girl by the name of Sophie, Lucidity will be out on Xbox Live later this month, and is part 2D platformer, part 2D…

PAL PlayStation Store Update: A Treasure Trove
The last couple of PAL PlayStation Store updates have been a little barren. Not to worry. They were obviously saving all the good stuff for this week’s update. Not only are there four playable demos, but they’re all great: FIFA 10, Katamari Forever, Fat Princess and LittleBigPlanet. Not to mention there’s a full-game download –…

Music Game Sales Down 46%
According to NPD analyst Anita Frazier – and really, she’d know – sales of music games in 2009 are, to date, down 46% from where they were last year. But it’s not all klaxons and panic stations for the likes of Rock Band, Guitar Hero and SingStar. “While sales of this genre are down 46%…

Gundam ROCK!
This year is the thirtieth anniversary of Gundam. Things ranging from an enormous Gundam statue to a PS3 Slim bundle have marked the occasion. But that’s not all, oh no, that’s not all. Rocker Andrew W.K. has recorded an album’s worth of Gundam songs in English. The album is called Gundam Rocks and is perhaps…

Valkyria Chronicles 2 Clips Go Into Battle
Sega updated the Valkyria Chronicles 2 website yesterday with a couple of gameplay videos, showing that while there is indeed a grainy filter plastered over the game, it doesn’t make much difference once things start moving.

New AMD Graphics Card Runs Six Screens At Once
Completely pointless from a consumer standpoint, we know, but then, we also know this kind of stuff is cool regardless; witness one of AMD’s new DirectX 11 graphics cards running a game on six monitors. The technology is called “Eyefinity”, and allows users to combine several monitors and have the card output to them as…

Huge Gundam Made Smaller
The 1/1 scale Gundam statue in Tokyo’s Odaiba may be gone, but our memories live on and on and on — in statue form. This is not a life-sized statue you can own (crap!), but a 30cm, 4 kilogram model of the life-sized model. Relive the memories! Out Spring 2010, yours for ¥81,900 (US$893). That’s…
