Mobile’s Call Of Duty Closes On Consoles With Modern Combat 5

Unable to contain its excitement until next week, Gameloft rolls out the explosive teaser trailer for the next installment in the Call of Duty-aping Modern Combat series. I hope you like turrets. Sure, there are official Call of Duty offshoots on mobile, but if you want a ham-fisted story and a rich competitive multiplayer experience,…

In case you missed it, here’s the Mega64 spoof of that super-serious, emo-vampire trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

The Moneysaver: Skyrim Legendary, Dark Arisen, Dark Souls, Metropolis

I used to pay full price, but then full price took a Moneysaver arrow to the knee. Skyrim’s Legendary package, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, and Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition headline today’s Moneysaver, literally and figuratively. We’ve had a lot of One-Shots in the past couple days, so dig in to those to grab…

Watch Dracula Brood and Kick Ass In This Lords of Shadow 2 Trailer

Here’s the trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The game picks up from the epilogue in Lords of Shadow, only with a darker story in a modern day setting. The main character is Dracula, and despite the setting, you’ll still be able to see his castle. The game will have a demo at E3.

Reacting to criticism for releasing a trailer on the anniversary of D-Day about an alternate history where the Nazis won World War II, Wolfenstein publisher Bethesda says the timing was “pure coincidence.”

David Hayter Snipes At Konami On Twitter

Wow! I guess David Hayter is really upset he won’t be returning to the role of Snake for the next Metal Gear Solid game. Or maybe he’s still participating in a long con with MGS creator Hideo Kojima? Check out what he just tweeted: New Coke, of course, was Coca-Cola’s failed attempt to change the…

We Liveblogged Konami’s Pre-E3 Show Right Here

In the usual fashion of events leading up to the big E3 gaming convention (which is, scarily, fast-approaching) Konami is among the handful of publishers hosting a pre-show to reveal what will likely entail some next-gen game announcements. At the very least we know we’ll hear more on Metal Gear Solid 5 and, in particular,…

Good News: You Won’t Have to Re-Sync Your Xbox One Controller As Much

We’ve already gotten a good look at some new features of the Xbox One controller, like the improved analog sticks, difference in grip texture and new trigger feedback. There’s even more info in a new post on the Xbox news site. But the thing that excites me the most is the fact that you won’t…

I Have Staggered Monsters In Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

My first hands-on session with Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and its interesting new combat system was, fittingly, lightning quick. Just a few minutes at the end of a long night of seeing the stacked upcoming line-up of Square Enix’s (and pals Deep Silver’s) next games: the Deus Ex iPad game, the new Thief, the…

The Epic, Full-Frontal Movie Trailer Saints Row IV Doesn’t Deserve

Man, that YouTube thumbnail has totally distracted me from whatever it was I was going to say about this. Oh yes! Pixelated presidential penis aside, this is the trailer for a game I wouldn’t need to be coerced into purchasing with a shiny plastic Dubstep Gun. With some fancy editing and the right voice actors…

New Wolfenstein Trailer Shows Nazis in the White House and on the Moon [UPDATE]

What if the Beatles were Nazis? That’s just one of the questions that live-action+CG+gameplay trailer for theWolfenstein: The New Order reboot brings up. The clip has some fun perverting some of the 20th Century’s best known photographs and shows us that the Nazis’ domination over the rest of the world is pretty all-encompassing. UPDATE: This…

An apparent leak of the cover of the next issue of Game Informer confirms one of the bigger pieces of news for this E3. As we’d reported last month, the next game from the people who made Call of Duty popular is an Xbox/Xbox One console exclusive. This is a big deal. The game, called…

Microsoft Accidentally (?) Advertises PlayStation Game

Microsoft’s Dutch Facebook page, maybe realising E3 was on the horizon, has asked readers/fans if they can recognise the four big games shown in an image. At first glance, they all look like games shown at Microsoft’s big Xbox One reveal. That bottom one is Collar of Duty. Above that, Madden. Up top is Forza…
