UFC on Xbox Live launches on Dec. 1. UFC 140 on Saturday Dec. 10 will be the first live pay-per-view event that you'll be able to order on Xbox Live. The match-ups in UFC 140 pit light heavyweights Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida against each other along with a feature bout between ex-heavyweight champs Frank Mir and Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira. Watching the the MMA promotion's fights on Xbox 360 will let you and your XBL friends predict winners, with the results of the pseudo-wagering kept on a leaderboard. The PPVs will stream in 720 and you'll be able to navigate through the content with Kinect, if you like actually moving your arms.

As a PS3 owner before a 360 owner (almost 3 years between purchases), I have gotten used to not paying to play online. I've paid for 1 month of Live now that Gears 3 is out and I'm playing it with my friends, but am not going to renew it after a month. With this and the new cable functions coming to the 360, there's no way I'm going to pony up $40-60/year on top of my subscriptions in order to do something I get rent for free from my cable company. At least the sports things you get on the PS3 (MLB and NHL gamecenter's) don't require you to have PS+ to use them.
