Tripwire Interactive is making the leap from independent PC developer to self-publishing independent developer, starting with a retail release of their smash hit co-op survival horror FPS, Killing Floor.
The Roswell Georgia based developer took Steam by storm back in May when it released Killing Floor, a full game based on the survival horror total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. Tripwire used some of the money they earned in the "$1,000,000 Make Something Unreal" contest to develop the title, and now they're taking the money made selling the game on Steam to send retail copies to store shelves throughout North America and Canada. Must be that responsible spending my stepfather used to tell me about.
Killing Floor should be showing up in retail outlets shortly, with a U.S. price tag of $19.99.
