"Walking around in drunken stupors, puking on the sidewalks, dancing naked in fountains, that sort of thing." Fallout: New Vegas area designer Eric Fenstermaker sums up the Las Vegas strip in one sentence in the latest developer diary.
My experience with the Las Vegas strip comes mainly from television shows and movies, so I only have the loosest idea of what Las Vegas is really like. I once spent a weekend in Laughlin, Nevada, which is the mini-Vegas for Arizona residents, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't compare, aside from the thick haze of cigarette smoke and despair.
How about those production values though, right? The Fallout: New Vegas developer diary series was produced by GreedyDocs, the "Making of..." division of Victor Lucas' Greedy Productions. They are quickly becoming the go-to guys for developer diaries and behind-the-scenes DVDs. Check out their website to see all of the game videos they've had a hand in.
