NCsoft continues its series of zone reveal videos for its upcoming online roleplaying game Aion with a look at the frosty Beluslan Zone.
The thing about Aion's zones that I've noticed after watching all of these videos, is that just when you think you've figured them out, they go and change things up on you. For instance, I had Beluslan pegged as the game's icy zone, with frost dragons and I don't know...white wolves. Then at the very end they throw out a curve ball, as if they knew what I was thinking. I'm not sure if this meas the game's zones are varied, or their video editor just loves picking on me.
Check out the official tour guide below to gain a little more insight into what's going on in Aion's Beluslan Zone.
Zone Tour: Beluslan
Even by the standards of Asmodae, already a harsh and inhospitable land, Beluslan is particularly icy and forbidding. What life there is clings to existence on the rocky slopes and foothills of Chaos Pass, or is twisted into strange and disturbing forms on the Black Plains and in Giant's Valley.
Kurngalfsberg, once a thriving city, fell under the disapproving gaze of Ereshkigal, one of the Dragon Lords in the world of Aion, and in a fit of ire he encased it in ice. Now it lies deserted by human and Daeva alike; only the beasts of the tundra can live there amidst the bone-chilling winds and the drifts of snow. Kistenian and his fellow Flame Daevas hope to breathe life back into it with the help of the ancient tree people, the Elim.
At Anair Harbor, a flash freeze occurred during a terrifying sea storm, capturing the swelling ocean just as the waves were about to crash down around a great ship, which is now forever trapped, like an insect in amber, in the water's icy grip.
