Activision’s Tony Hawk reboot may not be the only virtual skateboarding game that the publisher ships this year, as video of an iPhone port of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 has appeared on YouTube.
The video, by way of Giant Bomb, looks convincing enough to be the real deal. It also looks rather capable at bringing the nine-year-old sequel to the tilting, touchscreen iPhone platform, with on-screen and accelerometer controls. Graphically, it looks a hell of a lot like the Dreamcast version, the port in which I invested many dozens of hours.
Of course, that comparison begs the question: Do I really want to replay Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 on an iPhone?
