Double Fine Productions founder and career funnyman Tim Schafer will again be required to Google search "how to tie a bow tie" this March, as he returns to host the 2009 Game Developers Choice Awards.

While Schafer's obviously very busy putting a spit shine on Brütal Legend for publisher EA, he's taking time to dazzle the crowd of elite game developers with sidesplitting jokes and dramatic poses (pictured) at the Game Developers Conference award ceremony. Schafer previously hosted the Game Developers Choice Awards in 2007.

But wait, there's more Game Developers Choice Awards news!

Receiving the GDCA's Pioneer Award at this year's show will be Harmonix founders Alex Rigopulos and Eran Egozy. They'll be honored with the award that "celebrates those individuals responsible for developing a breakthrough technology, game concept, or gameplay design at a crucial juncture in video game history, paving the way for the many developers who followed them."

The two follow last year's winner of the award, Ralph Baer, inventor of the first home video game console.

Also to be awarded, but with the Ambassador Award, will be video game music man Tommy Tallarico.

The Game Developers Choice Awards will be presented at San Francisco's Moscone Center on Wednesday, March 25th. We'll be there!
