This Week's Android Charts: All Hail the Mighty Fruit Ninja

We may earn a commission from links on this page.

As Angry Birds Star Wars fever beings to calm and we move into the Thanksgiving weekend here in the U.S., our thoughts turn to food, more specifically how badly we want to slice it with a katana.

Fruit Ninja isn't at the top of the Android charts this week, but it's on both of them, a testament to the staying power of a silly little game about slicing through produce with your finger. If you had told me ten years ago that a game like this would become a staple of the Android charts, I would have wondered what the hell you were talking about.

I'm still not sure, even today.

Top Free Android Games - 11/21/2012

1. Angry Birds Star Wars
Last Week's Position: 1 (0)

Interesting. Given the choice to pay or not pay for an application, Android users overwhelmingly choose not to pay. This means something.
