OK, so I've got a bit of a thing for Guild Wars 2 art. It's a gorgeous game, shoot me. But before you do, you should check out both this concept art and, in a neat twist, some trailers made out of concept art.
Horia Dociu, who worked as an artist on Half-Life 2, joined Guild Wars developers ArenaNet shortly after Valve's classic shipped, and has been involved in both Guild Wars and its upcoming sequel, Guild Wars 2.
In addition to being a concept and storyboard artist for the game, Dociu is also cinematic director, meaning he directed these clips. The artists whose work you'll actually see in the clips are Kekai Kotaki, Daniel Dociu, Richard Anderson and Jaime Jones.
Because Horia's own art isn't in the clips, I've included some of his concept images in the gallery above as well.
If you like Dociu's stuff, you can see more at his personal site.
To see the larger pics in all their glory (or so you can save them as wallpaper), right-click on the "expand" icon on the main image above and select "open in new tab".
