Run for Money Toshochu: Escape the Greatest Hunters in History on the 3DS, while virtually unheard of in the West, it is one of the most popular 3DS game of last year in Japan.

Much like the TV show it is based on, Run for Money Toshochu: Escape the Greatest Hunters in History is set up as a giant game of tag against Matrix agent-esque characters called "hunters." After picking a location—like a city, a ninja village, or outer space—you begin the game of tag. Each round lasts 15 minutes. Over this time, more and more hunters will be released into the area; so you must complete various missions to unlock more and more of each map to hide in.

Each second you survive you automatically gain money, and you can add to your funds by collecting coins from across the map. And if things get too hairy, you can leg it to the nearest payphone and quit with the money you have collected so far. If you are caught, you get nothing.

To help you deal with the hunters, there are Mario Kart-style item boxes scattered across each map. You can use the weapons inside—like banana peels, for example—to escape the hunters when spotted.
