Back to the Future will take players back to Hill Valley with Marty McFly and Doc Brown. It's hard to know if the game will get up to 88 miles per hour, but these latest batch of screenshots look promising, future boy.

In Back to the Future: The Game, players will solve puzzles, collect items and get players to do stuff. "The story in the game is completely new, set several months after the events of the third movie from Marty's perspective," Mike Stemmle, co-designer at Telltale, tells IGN.

"The story in the game is completely new, set several months after the events of the third movie from Marty's perspective. Of course, this is a story that involves time travel, so who knows where it'll end up?"

A dialogue tree quoted on IGN reads:

What are you doing here?
• Doc's not dead.
• I'm looking for Doc's notebook.
• Nevermind.

The movie's co-creator Bob Gale is working with Telltale on the title as is Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Brown in the films. Michael J. Fox granted his likeness to the project, but was not available for voice work. In his place, McFly ringer A.J. LoCascio is voicing Marty.

According to Stemmle, "There'll be numerous recognizable elements of course — the Hill Valley town center, the clocktower, the DeLorean, Doc's lab, and quite a bit more. And you'll see them in ways you haven't experienced before."

Back to the Future: The Game will be out early next month on the PS3, iPhone, iPad, PC and Mac.
