It's rare that Sony makes announcements about new PlayStation 2 games, but not too surprising when that game is Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, the latest PSP game to come to the company's last-generation console.
The portable Syphon Filter, originally released in 2007—garnering "Game of the Year" accolades from at least one outlet—will make the leap from the PSP to the PS2 on June 1, giving previous-gen gamers something to do with their summer. The re-release of Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow will hit alongside the Syphon Filter digital graphic novel, coming to the PlayStation Store this summer as well.
With a few hundred thousand new PlayStation 2 owners out there, as of the holidays, we can't say that a two and a half year old port of a popular franchise is all that surprising. Instead, it just makes us think of the other PSP games that deserve a PS2 upgrade. Any suggestions?
