Next week, New York's Ars Nova theatre company will be presenting twelve plays based on...Wii games. Those selected include Wii Tennis, Let's Tap and...oh dear. Buck Fever.

Each is a "short" play that, while named after a Wii game, may not necessarily be a direct adaptation of one. So "All Star Cheer Squad" may start as a fun family game and go...somewhere else where waggle takes on a whole new meaning.

The complete lineup is as follows:

The Wii Plays are as follows; each evening features the full slate of plays:
Wii Tennis by Molly Smith Metzler, directed by Lila Neugebauer
Barbie as the Island Princess by Tasha Gordon-Solmon, directed by Lila Neugebauer

Marvel Superhero Squad by Chad Beckim, directed by Stephen Brackett
Buck Fever by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Portia Krieger

The Wii Plays will run From February 1-11 at Ars Nova's theatre on 511 West 54th Street, New York. You can grab your tickets here.

We are praying that Buck Fever stays as close to the game as possible, because any alternative sounds slightly horrifying.
