The Week In Games: Small And Creepy

It’s a week of tiny gems and quirky Japanese imports, a relaxing respite before the season of “massive games you have to own or you’ll feel physically ill” kicks into high gear. Or maybe that’s just me.

That’s not to say this week’s games are skippable. They’ll just hurt a little less when you don’t skip them. Murasaki Baby, pictured above, will certainly be on my Vita before Tuesday ends. I’ve already played a little Fairy Fencer F — it’s a little on the rough side of Japanese developer Compile Hearts’ games, but it’s got a nice sense of humor.

We’ve got a couple of games to get that 3DS stretched out before that Nintendo fighting game thing shows up, an excellent rhythm game from Zen Studios in Kickbeat, making its new-gen debut, and damn if I won’t be playing the hell out of the next Naruto game.
