What a time to be alive! People want more Uncharted and Naughty Dog didn’t have to go and create an entirely new game to deliver it.
Why are we even calling The Lost Legacy DLC? After all, what’s standalone DLC if not, well, a game? It even comes on a disc in a box. And Dishonored is up to the same thing next month with Death of the Outsider, another expansion update standalone DLC game.
It’s almost like you don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time you have another new story to tell. Studios invest so much in creating proprietary game engines and different assets that it’s nice when all that hard work finally pays off in the form of a complete game only a year later. Maybe this is the episodic gaming we were promised years ago.
