For the last few months, I've used this feature to highlight the very best cosplay artists in the world. To the last, each of them produces astonishing work, whether they be costume builders, props makers, photographers and/or models.
None of them, however, can quite match the output of Japanese superstar Omi Gibson.
Whether it be her attention to detail in costume building, the fact she actually acts out a role or just the sheer volume of pieces she completes every year, Omi is seen by many as the best cosplay artist in the world.
This gallery is a collection of some of her best costumes, along with some shots showing the amount of planning that goes into them, from drafting logos to weathering individual buckles you wouldn't even know were there if they weren't pointed out to you.
